I have these Artdeco Art Couture Long Wear Eyeshadow refills for almost a year now. Artdeco launched the Art Couture Long Wear Eyeshadow Anniversary Collection in fall 2015. This line consists of 24 eyeshadows, 12 matte and 12 satin finish. All the colors are neutral.
I love the way Artdeco designed their refills’ packaging. In case you do not have a magnetic palette where you can store them, all the refills come with a plastic cap that will keep them safe. Usually when you buy 5 eyeshadows you get the magnetic palette for free, and that’s what I did :)
Artdeco is a german brand and it is very popular in Europe. One eyeshadow retails approximately for $6. You get 1.5 g of product. Artdeco Art Couture Long Wear Eyeshadow are fragrance and paraben free!
Artdeco Art Couture Long Wear Eyeshadow can be used dry or wet. Their lasting power should be at least 8 hrs. That is what they promise.
Now, they are indeed long lasting. The formula is weightless. Apply beautifully and blend smoothly. You can even use them as eyeliners when applied damp.
I will briefly describe each of the Artdeco Art Couture Long Wear Eyeshadow I’ve got:
#75 (matte) Skin – its name says it all. It is pretty much your skin tone color if you have a medium complexion. If you are fair/light it might be a smidgen too peachy for you. When I have some tan going on I can use it as a highlight, otherwise it is a good, basic all over the lid color. The texture is silky and smooth. Pigmented.
#296 Baby (satin) – Pale pink with a very luxurious and elegant warm sheen, especially when applied dry. Definitely apply a base under this shade because it is prone to creasing. Its texture is extremely buttery. Looks great with browns, greys and purples. I love this color!
#258 Green Grey (satin) – Again, smooth texture, applies effortlessly, buildable and long lasting. I have no idea why it is called Green Grey, I tried really hard to see that green shift or sheen or at least green micro sparkles, but I failed. To me it is a beautiful gunmetal color. It is not too dark, I can do a soft smokey eye with just this eyeshadow if using it light handed.
#24 Chocolate (matte) – a very deep brown. It is so very pigmented. I am using it as an eyeliner too. If I want to deepen my crease I am using a soft brush and just lightly touch the skin, otherwise I can’t get a smooth transition, the pigment is really strong. It is soft to the touch and it doesn’t fade all day.
#272 Smoke (satin) – taupe with purple and silver touches. This one can be used for daytime smokey too. I also use it to deepen the crease or to blend a darker color. Gorgeous color!
All of the Artdeco Art Couture Long Wear Eyeshadow are very soft, some fallout are to be expected. Always tap your brush off to avoid it as much as possible.
I highly recommend these eyeshadows. The price is affordable. They are high quality and the variety of colors and textures is mind blowing. I am not sure if you can get your hands on them in the USA, but if you are from Europe do not hesitate to give them a try. I will definitely pick up some more Artdeco eyeshadows whenever I will go back home to visit my parents :)
And for all of you Pinterest lovers:
See you all in my next post ;)
