Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick in Sagittarius is part of Jeffree Star’s Limited Edition Holiday 2016 Collection. He launched a few more shades on Black Friday. I wasn’t planning on getting anything to be honest. One day, scrolling through my Instagram feed, I saw this photo of Jeffree Star promoting one of his recently launched velour liquid lipsticks – Sagittarius. OMG, how could I miss that?! :) Being a Sagittarius myself, I had to splurge and order it! I have a thing for anything Sagittarius and dream catchers, my guilty pleasure.

My take on it:
I like the tube. Well made. Sturdy. His printing in that rose gold foil stood out to me the moment I opened the packaging. Beautifully done. The applicator shape lets you apply the lipstick with minimum effort. You don’t have to use a lip pencil first. I mean, you can but you don’t have to.
Oh, and did I mention that it clicks when you twist the cap to close it? Love it. This way I am always ensured it’s really closed and it will not get all over my purse (believe me it happened so many times before with other lipsticks).
Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick in Sagittarius is described as a mix of nude and mauve. On my pale skin it is almost a dark mauve with a hint of purple. If you are darker than me, it might be that beautiful nude mauve.
Such a nice mousse-like consistency. Very pigmented. One swipe is all you really need. Sets to a comfortable matte finish real fast. Not sticky! Doesn’t dry out my lips. Doesn’t crumble. It beautifully fades after I have a meal. Layers nicely, however if you had quite a few layers on, I would suggest taking it off and then reapply, otherwise it might crumble.
No bleeding or smearing. Transfer proof also.
It stays on my lips intact for as long as I don’t eat. Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick will not survive anything greasy or oily. Since I am a big salad fan, of course it is all gone by the time I am done eating my salad. I can’t eat it without olive oil :)
I didn’t have troubles taking it off at the end of the day. Any of my makeup removers get through this process easily.

This is my first Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick BUT definitely not the last one! The variety of colors is impressive also. You can absolutely find something to your liking. It is a perfect matte lipstick. Feels so soft and velvety on the lips. And it lasts! It is a winner!
