Once Lime Crime Superfoils have been released, I really wanted to get one of them. Recently, they added few more duos to the collection and one of them specifically was calling my name – Lucid/Dream. Gosh, I’m such a sucker for anything that sparkles. I love glitter and glamour in all its glory!

It comes in a pretty pink packaging with daisies on it. Super cute and girly. You open the box… And there you have the Lime Crime Superfoils Duo in Lucid/Dream itself:
Same theme as the box. Pink plastic with daisies. I like it.
Now, let’s open it ;)
Isn’t that gorgeous? Lucid is described as a mauve with golden shift and Dream as a golden brown. The description of Lucid is quite accurate, but Dream besides being a golden brown, it also shifts green. Both colours are beautiful and unique.
It has a mirror also, which is useless to me. Too small to be properly used.
Lime Crime Superfoils are pretty much some metallic foiled eyeshadows. Very pigmented. For that foiled effect you have to apply them wet. I prefer just using my finger when I want them really intense.
The texture of the eyeshadows is different. Lucid has a flaky formula. Little bits of mauve golden foil. That is how it feels to me. You have to apply it wet! Or use a sticky base. With such a formula you can’t totally prevent the fall out. Even if you will be super careful, you will still get some. It is very reflective. The finish you get is a metallic-y glittery shine. I liked it. Not very long lasting. I noticed its fading in about 2-3 hours. It wasn’t that shiny anymore.
On the other hand, Dream eyeshadow has a creamy, buttery formula. Very nice texture. It gives you a metallic sheen. It is easily layered and if you are careful you can get away with minimum to no fall out. You can use it wet or dry. It lasts a little longer than Lucid on my lids.
Lime Crime Superfoils Duo in Lucid/Dream is a perfect little gem for fall season. I really like both of these colours.
At first I thought the price is quite high, but then I realized you get 5g of product. This is the quantity of 2-4 (depending on the brand) eyeshadow pans. So, not too bad. Plus in my opinion the color selection is interesting. Not boring at all. It was worth my money and attention :)
The Lime Crime Superfoils has my seal of approval! I am not sure I will get more of these because the Lucid/Dream duo was something that really caught my attention. But these are some very beautiful and unique colours. Very shiny and glittery! Worth checking out.
Now, I know Lime Crime is famous for their liquid lipsticks… What would be your recommendations? I really want to try some of them.
Here is a look I did using Lime Crime Superfoils Lucid e/s on top eyelid and Dream on the bottom:
