Now I am complete :) I tried using it without a pump but I waste a lot of product. I can’t say it’s runny or too watery but any time I try to get just enough for my face I get too much. And I just had to get that pump.
The foundation itself is $28 and the pump is $10
This is my first MAC foundation. Why MAC Studio Fix Fluid ? Well, I wanted something not too heavy but with decent coverage. And from all the reviews this foundation seemed to be the perfect one for me.
My shade is NC15, I think it would be too light for me in summer, so I will keep that in mind. It has yellow undertone. And if you are very pale this might look orange on you.
I will start with one thing I didn’t like. THE SMELL. I don’t know, I just don’t like it, and I can feel that smell for an hour for sure. Smells like somebody would paint in my room… You know that smell? :) That is what MAC Studio Fix Fluid smell reminds me of :)
Besides the smell I love everything about it.
Formula : The consistency is so good. Not too watery and not too thick. It spreads and applies so easy and even on the skin. Works good with any brush and sponge. You can also use your hands to apply it.
Coverage : Medium. You can build it to full coverage but I think it will look cakey and it’s gonna be heavy on the skin. I would skip that. Its coverage is enough to even out my skin and hide some of my imperfections. If you have some major flaws, you will need a concealer.
Lasting Power : Stays on my combo skin all day. Some oil starts to peek through after 5-6 hrs on my t-zone but that is easily fixed with a blotting paper. By the end of the day, that means I would have it on for a total of 10-12 hrs I do have some oiliness on my t-zone but it will look as good as just applied if I’m using a blotting paper again and a little bit of powder to refresh the whole look.
It also has Broad Spectrum SPF 15 which is adding to all the other MAC Studio Fix Fluid pro’s.
I was testing it for a week, no breakouts so far. And I was very concerned of this because my skin is so sensitive and MAC products look to be guilty of that. I am happy it worked for me.
I hope you can notice how natural it looks on the skin from my pics and swatches. I think this foundation is worth the price and the hype. Next, I would like to try another MAC foundation, don’t know which one right now. If you have any suggestions, leave them in the comments pls :) I will definitely consider them.
Thank you for stopping by my blog and reading this post :) See you very soon in my Day #3 of the 30 Days Makeup Challenge.
