I’ve already tried the Revlon Colorstay foundation a few years ago, but it was the dry skin version. Back then I didn’t know much about makeup and my actual skin type. I thought maybe I should give it another try, get me the right shade and the oily skin formula. Revlon Colorstay Foundation Combination/Oily Skin in 150 Buff is what I got. It is a light neutral beige. No pinks or yellows in it. I really like it.

My take on it:
Revlon Colorstay Foundation Combination/Oily Skin comes in a glass bottle. Biggest surprise for me was to see a pump! And it’s a good one. Dispenses just as much as you need. Finally, Revlon. You’ve finally heard us. Has a black, see thru cap also.
It has SPF 15 and it’s oil free. Creamy consistency. Not too heavy. Like a lotion. Applies nicely with either a sponge or a brush. Sets to a demi matte finish. But it is a little tacky anyways. And even after I would set it with a powder, it transfers like crazy.
You will absolutely feel the Revlon Colorstay Foundation Combination/Oily Skin on your skin. It is quite heavy.
Performs very good on smoothing pores. Neutralized with brio all my redness.
Medium to full coverage. It looks cakey and very unnatural though when you amp it up to full coverage. I apply one thin layer with a damp sponge and then go over with a 2nd layer on the areas that need more coverage.
OIL CONTROL & LASTING POWER
Revlon Colorstay Foundation Combination/Oily Skin lasts for a good 6-hrs on me. I notice some fading on my chin and forehead on a 10 hr mark. But I don’t look like a grease ball at all. I would say my skin gets dewy.

It almost became my holy grail foundation. I really liked the shade, the coverage, oil control… But, if I would take a look at the ingredients before buying it, I would definitely pass on it. IT IS PACKED WITH SILICONES! That’s why it smoothes your skin, hides your pores… But here is the thing: my skin doesn’t like silicones at all! And after a week of wearing this foundation, my chin started blooming. And as soon as I quit using it, I didn’t get a new zit.
You might think this foundation was made for acne prone and sensitive skin, it’s oil free and has salicylic ccid. And I am a big fan of salicylic acid. But again, it is almost the last ingredient. What does that mean? It contains pretty much traces of this acid… In no way, shape or form this amount can treat or improve your skin situation.
