We’ll talk about brows today :)
I love trying out new brow products. I still do struggle finding my perfect shade, formula, texture… And of course I am getting excited when I come over something new.
I own a lot of eye brow pencils and a couple of brow powders. But I always wanted to try a different formula on my brows. A brow pomade should cut from the time I spend doing my brows, that’s what I was thinking.
When I’ve noticed the Salon perfect – Perfect Brow Pomade at my local Walmart for only $4.88… Hallelujah!!!!
It is Walmart exclusive by the way.
The color selection is not that big. They’ve got only 3 colors: blonde, light brown and dark brown. My Walmart had the light and dark brown only, I went for light brown. But let me tell you, the colors are so universal that I don’t think you need any other shades at all.
Oh, and it comes with a pretty darn good dual ended brush. I LOVE it. You can really define and sculpt your brows with it. It is synthetic, cleans very easily and it keeps its shape after that. The spoolie is a good one too. I just don’t think it will last for a very long time because it feels pretty flimsy. But I am gonna religiously use it until “its last breath” ;)
Salon Perfect Brow Pomade is a multi-tasking superstar that combines the work of a pencil, powder and wax, in one easy-to-use product. The creamy longwearing brow color defines, sculpts and fills in eyebrows for that coveted naturally full look. Comes complete with a professional dual-end brush that allows for precise lines and perfect blending.
Simple plastic container. Very reminiscent of e.l.f. Lustrous eye shadows.
Interesting texture and formula for me. I thought the brow pomade will be somewhat like a gel liner. But it is not. It is definitely less creamy but it’s soft at the same time. Dries very guick to a flat matte finish.
It is a pigmented product. You can easily overdo with the color. So, be careful. But even though the pigmentation is decent, the brow pomade itself would apply a little streaky. Especially those sparse areas… that’s where it wouldn’t transfer very well.
Lasted all day on me. Keeps my eye brows in place, so I don’t need to set them with gel. Anyways it is not smudge-free as it’s been promised by Salon Perfect.
The light brown color is not the perfect match for me. It is a warm light brown. I guess the blonde would match me better, but it’s never there. I’ve never seen the blonde in any Walmart in my town.
The brow pomade by Salon Perfect is totally worth trying. I am sure it’s gonna last me for a long time cause you really need the tiniest amount to fill your eye brows.
I will insert a before and after photo of my eye brows and you decide whether you would like to give it a shot or not :)
~The photos were taken under different lighting so that’s why the color may differ a little.
