Secret Kiss Cover Up Skin Perfecter is a korean bb cream. I am being dragged to korean bb creams because of my pale skin. Most of the times they come in 2-3 shades. The lightest shade doesn’t have any undertones, it can even look a little ashy. Another factor that sets the korean bb creams apart is that their ingredients are “healthier”. So not only you hide all your imperfections, but you are pampering your skin at the same time.
As I stated earlier, korean bb creams don’t have a lot of shades to choose from. Secret Kiss Cover Up Skin Perfecter BB Cream comes only in two shades: 01 Light Beige, 02 Natural Beige. I got me the 01 Light Beige.
A few years ago I reviewed the Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream and that one did have a grey-ish undertone. Looking back at my old photos, I really believe it was too pale and grey for my skin complexion. I was keeping my fingers crossed this doesn’t happen with my Secret Kiss Cover Up Skin Perfecter.
Luckily, my Secret Kiss Cover Up Skin Perfecter BB Cream in Light Beige was a good match. A nice pale beige, not ashy.

My take on it:
Comes in a plastic tube. I like how it is beige and black. For some unknown reason it says Secret Kiss on the box but Secret Key on the tube. I don’t know why…
The tube nozzle is not the best. If I am not super careful, I can get too much product out.
Overall, I like this type of containers. Hygienic and you get to use all the product that’s inside, because you can squeeze every last drop out of it :)
Creamy consistency. Not too thick. It applies and blends easily. I prefer using a damp sponge as my tool to apply the Secret Kiss Cover Up Skin Perfecter.
It leaves you with a dewy finish. Never fully sets, unless you will apply powder on top.
Feels heavy on. Minimized my pores but emphasized the texture of my skin.
Medium, buildable coverage. One thin layer was enough to even out my skin. Two layers give me medium coverage. Some of my flaws would still be a tad noticeable, but that doesn’t bother me. I never go for extreme coverage.
OIL CONTROL & LASTING POWER
The reason I thought I need this bb cream is all the people raving about its oil control. That, despite being dewy it is very long lasting. In my case it didn’t work this way.
Secret Kiss Cover Up Skin Perfecter BB Cream is too moisturizing for my oily skin. I turn into a grease ball in 3-4 hours. It separates on my T-Zone so bad. I tried to use my Make Up For Ever Skin Equalizer Mattifying Primer plus my MAC Studio Fix Perfecting Powder on top and it didn’t help.

Secret Kiss Cover Up Skin Perfecter has good coverage and is packed with skin loving ingredients. I liked that it didn’t oxidize on my skin. Anyways, it is not the type of product my oily skin can handle. It separates on me way too quick. I think I am done with korean bb creams. They are probably meant for dry or dehydrated skin.
Too bad Secret Kiss Cover Up Skin Perfecter didn’t work for my oily skin even though I had high hopes. You guys with oily skin had any luck with korean bb creams? :(
